Alison + Brendan: Vermont Mountain Wedding at Middlebury College + Tourterelle

I am SO excited to finally be able to blog this insanely gorgeous wedding!!

We had the most perfect day with Alison + Brendan. These two met right in the beginning of their college years at Middlebury College…and they’ve been inseperable ever since. I absolutely loved their choice to be married right where it all started! Not to mention, the Middlebury College campus is S-T-U-N-N-I-N-G. Did I put enough emphasis on that?! Like, breathtakingly gorgeous. The ceremony was at Saint Mary’s church, and then right after we roamed around to a few different areas on campus. Ali + Brendan worked over 2 hours into the schedule to take our time getting great photos together. Brendan is actually a photographer as well, so they both really appreciate the photo aspect of the day and understood how important it is to not be rushed! These two were a dream to photograph – so photogenic & happy, you can just tell how much they care for each other just by their facial expressions. The wedding party was amazing as well and we kept joking that everyone looked like a J.Crew ad together!

The reception was at Tourterelle Inn & Restaurant right down the road in New Haven. If you are in Vermont and havent been there – you need to drop what you’re doing and call to make a reservation!! Everything about this place was incredible – the location, staff, food, and the VIEWS were out of this world. It sits on a hill overlooking farmland to the east and a pond to the west. So, needless to say – it was gorgeous for sunset! New Leaf Organics provided the florals and table settings, which I was absolutely obsessed with. The settings were a lovely mix of wildflowers, lavender, pears & grapes, potted plants, and perfection.

McInroe from Top Hat Entertainment brought the music and kept the party going. By the end of the night, the guys were having so much fun they decided to take their shirts off and drape them in the rafters – which was (obviously) hilarious. Fun fact, some may be surprised, but this is NOT all that uncommon of a thing to happen at weddings!

All in all, this day was every bit of perfect and we are so lucky to have been there to photograph it for this wonderful couple. Thank you, Ali + Brendan, and congratulations!
