Intimate Wedding Boston North Shore Wedding: Pamela & DiAnne – Lynn, MA

Weddings

I am so grateful to have a career that lends opportunity to meet new people everyday, and get to know them while they’re IN THEIR element..during the happiest days of their lives.

Pamela and DiAnne are from Texas. They are each others “other half”, soul mates, proud dog mothers, volunteers at the animal shelter, hard working women with a world of supportive friends and family. They’ve been together for 30 years (!!)
and this summer they decided to do something they never thought they would – tie the knot.  Some of you may not know, but Texas is an area that does not view same-sex marriage as acceptable as the Northeast does. So they planned a long weekend away in chilly November to Massachusetts  – one of the first states to accept same sex marriages. They explored the historic city, ate all the staple New England foods (lobstah rolls & clam chowdah!), and exchanged rings on the rooftop of a gorgeous private Victorian Home overlooking the sea ((Wedding by the Sea))

The whole morning and afternoon leading up to ceremony time, we experienced TORRENTIAL downpour. But, low & behold, just minutes before the two arrived in their 1939 antique cadillac limo (seriously!) the skies opened up & the rain quit. Naturally, we scurried around and changed plans to perform the ceremony on the roof. Dr. Eleanor Fisher, the wedding specialist and owner of Wedding by the Sea was amazingly accommodating. She and her husband made everyone feel at home and at ease. As a doctor, reverend AND an artist she understands the importance of working closely with the couples to make their private ceremony unique and exactly how they’d imagined.

Giddy is an understatement when describing the emotions of this day (the photos speak for themselves!). These two are filled with such joy, and even though I only spent a few hours with them..it was so clear to me that they exude kindness and respect to everyone they meet. My heart was so light and filled with happiness for these two when all was said and done.

Pamela & DiAnne, I wish you a world of happiness in the rest of your lives together. Thank you for inviting me to come be a part of your special day.

*The couple showed up straight out of the 1930’s in an antique Cadillac limo with a driver that was dressed to the 9’s playing the part of an Italian mobster. It was..incredible. As soon as I came out with my camera, he started posing and throwing out the “What do ya want? Don’ worry ’bout it” phrases. He was such a riot! If anyone is looking for a unique limo & driver for their special occasion, I highly recommend calling Boston Tours – Antique Limousine*

I am honored and blessed by the opportunity to officiate this wonder-full wedding, of 2 souls brought together by love. The ability to marry people in Massachusetts, where all are honored and respected, presents the opportunity to deeply understand the definition of love. All of our good wishes go with this lovely couple, who we now consider, extended family. Dr. Eleanor Fisher and husband, Colonel Dennis Treece (ret)
