Congrats to these two awesome people on their engagement!!
Ryan and I have known each other since high school but haven’t seen each other in years. So I was extremely excited when he messaged me last month and asked if I could photograph his proposal to his lovely girlfriend, Samantha, at Colchester Pond. Of course, I said HECK YEAH!
The afternoon it all went down, Vermont hit all seasons (surprised?) – we had warmth & sun..then 2 seconds later it was spitting snow everywhere! Either way, it was beautiful and they didn’t mind one bit. Luckily, Sam and I had never met so she didn’t think twice about the weird girl who was alone taking photos in a field with a camera and huge lens. After it happened (and she said yes!) we walked around for a little bit and took some engagement photos.
This was my first time actually shooting a proposal, and I LOVED every second of it. It was so much fun to plan, anticipate, and witness/capture the story unfolding. And to get it all recorded in photos?! I think it’s silly NOT to have someone there capture a moment like this! Plus, it made me feel like a ninja for the day ;)
Ryan & Sam, I’m so happy for you two! Cheers to the start of an amazing future together!
