“YOUR VIBE ATTRACTS YOUR TRIBE”
This is one of my favorite quotes. Short, sweet, simple..to the point – yet sooo true! I find myself re-quoting this line in my head with a smile on my face pretty often – whether it’s to remind myself to only throw out into the universe the positive vibes I wish to receive, or after meeting someone who 100% confirms this statement. Tara Bialek is definitely one of those people.
Last month I had the opportunity to spend the afternoon photographing this lovely woman along with her family in Wethersfield, CT. Tara is a mom of 3 little ones, a Nutritionist, and a 15 Star Diamond Elite Coach with Beachbody – a company focused on helping people get fit with at home programs and workout DVDs. Unless you are involved as a coach with Beachbody, you are probably unaware of what “15 Star Diamond Elite” means. I didn’t know, either! Well, as Tara so very humbly told me after I inquired while setting up my lights…it’s like, the very top of the coaching ladder. This means that Tara has literally helped THOUSANDS of people get healthy – both physically & financially. What started out with her just wanting to make a change for herself, her health & her family has turned into a pretty remarkable story of hard work, determination, leadership, and love.
Now, I’m totally familiar with what a profound effect health & wellness coaching has on individuals. Whether you are the person receiving the coaching or the Coach who has found their love & passion for helping others, it is truly an amazing thing to find a “tribe”. People that light a fire within you, fuel your desire to be better and will love & support you through your journey. This speaks to me on a very personal level. I 100% share the same vision & passion as a health advocate and fitness coach, and I hiiiiiighly respect the drive that Tara has in her business to get her to where she is today. Big ups, lady!!
So, with all that said – OF COURSE I was beyond excited to meet & connect with Tara while taking some lifestyle images to help her brand.
We started off in her home with her family – taking images of a “day in the life”. How fun is that?! The family hung out on the couch, had a bit of a pillow fight and laughed a WHOLE bunch. Of course, this isn’t Hollywood and we ARE dealing with real life kiddos, so I won’t lie. There were a few (little) tantrums mixed in between. But do you blame them?! What kid wants a camera in their face while they just want some ice cream and their favorite program! After we shot at the house we took a short drive down to the cove to do a few images outside. I mean, it was the BEGINNING of MARCH and it reached (i think) almost 70 degrees that day!!! It was craziness and felt so good to be outside taking photos and playing around.
Everyone hung around for a few photos outside. Once the kids’ focus were set more on the promise of ice cream, they ended up taking off with TJ (daddy) so that Tara and I could focus on some solo images.
In the end, it was confirmed in my mind that this is one of my absolute favorite types of shoots. To meet someone totally new, get to know them, hone their vision, help to tell a story, and end up with images that speak directly to their brand & soul is pretty amazing. I aim for this in all of my work, and it’s especially fun to do it on a personal level and to help someones business and livelihood. In the end, I totally still believe “Your vibe attracts your tribe” and hope that this is the beginning to a great new connection. Thank you Tara, for all you do!
