Kelly + Tom: Fort Getty Pavilion Wedding in Jamestown, Rhode Island

It seems like almost every wedding we had in 2017 was by the water! Not complaining at all ;) This was our first time at Fort Getty Pavilion, which is not a very common wedding venue in Rhode Island, but by the end of the night I was feeling like it was one of those ‘well-kept secrets’. If you’re a DIY type and like working with a blank slate – this venue could be perfect for you!

Kelly + Tom’s day was warm, sunny, and so full of love from start to finish. Kelly is my favorite type of bride – always the biggest and most beautiful a smile on her face! It was pretty clear during our engagement session (which you can see here!) that perhaps one of Tom’s biggest goals in life was to make her laugh at every chance he had. He’s good like that – so I’d say he’s doing a fine job at meeting those daily goals :)

One thing that was so different that I loved, was that the wedding party (which consisted of mainly Kelly + Tom’s siblings, plus Tom’s best friend) were all gifted a pair of super nice RANDOLPH aviator sunglasses. It’s like they were predicting what a bright and sunny day we were going to be having! Everyone looked so sharp in their pair – and they came in tons of use during the day.

We did a first look on the rocks at Beavertail where they enjoyed a bit of alone time as we hung back with our long lenses, capturing the love. The ceremony was set overlooking the water, where the couple exchanged vows + rings just before heading a few feet away to cocktail hour beside the pavilion. Pranzi catering brought delicious apps and dinner while DM Productions – Boston DJ kept the music going. All of the stunning florals were provided by Tom’s aunt and uncle, who own Lyal Nickals Floral Design and traveled from California.
